Coming up we have a lightweight kickboxing rules bout between Yasuhiro Kido (ranked 3296 p4p, 6548 weight class) and Johnny Hammer (ranked 353 p4p, 543 weight class). Johnny Hammer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yasuhiro Kido! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Hammer! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammer swats away the attempt to clinch by Kido. Hammer swats away the attempt to clinch by Kido. Kido tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hammer is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Kido takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
No joy there for Kido, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hammer throws a lazy body kick and Kido counters with a stiff right hand. Kido feints a jab promting Hammer to slip. Kido then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hammer slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Hammer lands with a nice body kick. Kido wants to clinch up but Hammer keeps it at a distance. Hammer is looking to land body kicks. Hammer misses with a head kick.
Kido tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. As Kido backs off Hammer throws a huge counter combo but Kido manages to avoid it all. Kido tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hammer swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hammer tries to land a front kick but Kido steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Hammer drives through and clinches with Kido against the ropes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kido lands a hook that snaps the head of Hammer backwards.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hammer looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Kido is looking for a counter combo. Kido moves out of range of the body kick from Hammer.
Kido throws a right and a left that both miss. Kido tries to clinch but Hammer moves out of range. Johnny Hammer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hammer staying out of range there. Hammer lands a head kick that bluckles Kido and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Hammer no doubt looking to push for a finish!
Kido is rocked!
It looks like Yasuhiro Kido has been cut. Kido avoids the head kick by Hammer.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kido tries to clinch there but Hammer circles away.
Hammer throws a front kick to the face that drops Kido face first to the mat! Oh, he's in big trouble! He's stumbling all over the place and has face planted into the ropes, causing the referee to call an end to the fight! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Front Kick). Johnny Hammer! After winning the bout, Johnny Hammer thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
