Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roberto Jimenez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Just Fight Scappy Do!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimenez misses the jab.
Just Fight Scappy Do seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scappy Do fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jimenez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Nice straight punches there by Scappy Do. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Scappy Do.
Jimenez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Scappy Do was well out of range. Poor timing from Jimenez.
Scappy Do takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Just Fight Scappy Do has been cut.
Scappy Do throws a head kick that misses.

and Scappy Do counters with a head kick. That will keep Jimenez thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
We've been hearing reports that Jimenez has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Jimenez gets control of Scappy Do's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jimenez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Scappy Do got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jimenez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Scappy Do has managed to get both his arms back between Jimenez's legs - danger averted.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Scappy Do is on top in guard.

Scappy Do wants to stand and escape but instead Jimenez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Scappy Do is looking to sweep but instead, Jimenez has passed into half guard.
Scappy Do is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Jimenez passes to side control.
Jimenez advances to mount.
Scappy Do keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jimenez wants to control the pace but Scappy Do is squirming around nicely.
Scappy Do is trying to reverse the position but instead Jimenez has taken his back - oops!

Jimenez looking to break Scappy Do's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Scappy Do remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Jimenez will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
Jimenez just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jimenez changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Scappy Do shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Scappy Do throws a head kick but Jimenez moves out of range.
Jimenez feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Scappy Do tries to close the distance and clinch but Jimenez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Scappy Do tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Scappy Do using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jimenez has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Jimenez is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Scappy Do pulls him back up using the underhooks.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Scappy Do is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Jimenez off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Scappy Do has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Jimenez has managed to slip his arm under Scappy Do's chin. This could be all over... yep, Scappy Do is tapping out! Submission win for Jimenez.
