PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Theodore Holmstrom (ranked 5520 p4p, 5168 weight class) and Anu Kirsipuu (ranked 591 p4p, 568 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kirsipuu's choice of entrance music: scarlxrd - APXCALYPSE.. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Holmstrom looking for a takedown.

Holmstrom is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Kirsipuu can't fight it off and eventually Holmstrom manages to take the fight to the floor. Kirsipuu looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kirsipuu holds on and takes a little breather.
Holmstrom has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kirsipuu takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Kirsipuu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Holmstrom swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Holmstrom attempts a counter takedown but Kirsipuu avoids it well and moves away.
Anu Kirsipuu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kirsipuu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Holmstrom scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Kirsipuu manages to mount him!

Holmstrom really wants to buck Kirsipuu off and get back to his feet.
Holmstrom tries to lock up and control but Kirsipuu gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Kirsipuu has Holmstrom pressed against the cage. He pushes Holmstrom back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Kirsipuu throws a beautiful elbow that sends Holmstrom crashing to the floor! Kirsipuu piles on the pressure with more strikes! Holmstrom is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
