Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sorry Eh! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anstey closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Anstey is working Eh over with some ground and pound from side control. Anstey is looking to take a break and control but Eh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anstey sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Eh is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Anstey is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Eh's shoulder. That is not cool. Anstey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Eh for as long as he can get away with. Anstey looks up at the clock and then as Eh takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Anstey smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Anstey in side control, just content to control the action for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anstey misses with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anstey landing strikes. Eh takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Eh is rocked! Anstey scoring with punches from side control. Eh is still in real trouble! Can Anstey finish him? Anstey cracks Eh with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Anstey immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Eh is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Anstey!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Corwin Anstey! A relieved looking Corwin Anstey thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
