PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sam Salter (ranked 3922 p4p, 6009 weight class) and Yorge Hidal (ranked 360 p4p, 467 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Salter might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dead Or Alive. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Yorge Hidal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hidal paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hidal misses the shot to the body.
Salter feinted with a counter takedown.
Hidal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hidal now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Hidal bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Salter's head backwards.
Salter looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Hidal swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Salter counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hidal!
Hidal tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Salter tries to keep control of the position but Hidal is staying busy.

Salter working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Hidal is doing well to defend. Salter seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Hidal is forced to tap and this one is over!

A relieved looking Sam Salter thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
