Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hermann Oestergaard (ranked 2674 p4p, 6003 weight class) and Sergej Kusnemirpow (ranked 338 p4p, 595 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hermann Oestergaard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sergej Kusnemirpow! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kusnemirpow lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
A swing and a miss from Kusnemirpow. Kusnemirpow wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Oestergaard definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Oestergaard tries to clinch there but Kusnemirpow circles away.
Oestergaard goes for a double leg but Kusnemirpow avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kusnemirpow continues to drive forward. Kusnemirpow tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Oestergaard wants a takedown but no success here.
Kusnemirpow misses with a short punch on the inside. Kusnemirpow throws a head punch that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kusnemirpow breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kusnemirpow takes a swing at Oestergaard's ribcage but misses. Kusnemirpow wants to clinch up but Oestergaard keeps it at a distance. Oestergaard feinted with a counter takedown. Kusnemirpow is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Oestergaard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body punch from Oestergaard. Oestergaard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kusnemirpow circles away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hermann Oestergaard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Oestergaard throws a body punch but Kusnemirpow moves out of range. Oestergaard shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kusnemirpow wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Oestergaard manages to pass to side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Oestergaard wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kusnemirpow keeps working. Oestergaard looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Oestergaard is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oestergaard not doing much here.

Oestergaard works his way into side control. Kusnemirpow struggling a bit here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oestergaard looks up at the clock and then as Kusnemirpow takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Oestergaard smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Oestergaard looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Oestergaard remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Oestergaard has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Kusnemirpow is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Oestergaard yanks on the arm and Kusnemirpow is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Oestergaard.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hermann Oestergaard! Our winner, Hermann Oestergaard, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
