Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Landau Aisland!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Berge gets a clinch.
Berge fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Berge definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
A short left from Aisland.
Berge jumps guard but Aisland stands there with Berge around his waist. Berge gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
A shot in the inside from Aisland.

Aisland escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Aisland just misses with a punch to the body.
Berge tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Aisland manages to circle out of the way.
Berge fails with an attempt to clinch.
Berge tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Aisland paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Aisland shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Aisland is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Berge tries to get to full guard but Aisland has control of the leg.

Berge looking for submissions off his back.
Berge is looking for a sweep. Aisland is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Berge wants to control but Aisland is keeping busy.
Aisland passes the guard and advances to mount!
BOOM! Aisland connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Aisland looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Aisland has hold of Berge's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Berge manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Aisland scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Berge is wriggling around trying to escape.

Aisland jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Berge manages to avoid the submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The strikes coming from Aisland are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Aisland goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Berge rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Aisland's guard! Nice work there by Berge!
Berge will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Berge sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Berge wants to control from the top but Aisland keeps moving.

Aisland has his foot on Berge's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Berge works his way back into a safe position though.
Berge wants to pass the guard but Aisland is keeping the position.
Berge passes Aisland's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Berge is working for a submission of some sort.

Berge is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Aisland sees it coming and defends easily.

Berge is trying to work for a kimura but Aisland is defending well.

Berge is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Aisland defends it well.
Berge wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aisland keeps working.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Berge is working for a submission of some sort.

Aisland looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
We've been informed that Aisland has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Aisland is pressing down on Berge's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Berge trying to control but Aisland is working from the bottom.
Berge is really struggling to control Aisland but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Aisland wants to sweep but no luck.

Berge thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Aisland controls Berge momentarily but Berge frees himself.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Landau Aisland dominated that round.
That's time! Berge's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Berge uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Aisland.
As Aisland tries to get set, Berge tries to push him back and clinch up but Aisland manages to avoid the attempt.
Berge tries to clinch but Aisland moves out of range.
Berge takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Aisland drives through with a takedown into Berge's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Aisland has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Berge to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Aisland is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Berge pulls down on the head and he's put Aisland to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Tobias Berge!
