Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Moe Kolohe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Grandon Vozzy!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kolohe gets tackled into the cage by Vozzy. Vozzy maintains the clinch.

Kolohe manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Vozzy trying to control the position from guard on top but Kolohe is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Vozzy looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Kolohe escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Vozzy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vozzy throwing strikes but missing.

Vozzy stops Kolohe from standing up.
Vozzy slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Kolohe has his feet on Vozzy's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Kolohe misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A good leg kick by Vozzy.
Moe Kolohe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vozzy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kolohe attempts a counter takedown but Vozzy avoids it well and moves away.
Vozzy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kolohe pinned against the cage. Kolohe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kolohe is looking to take this one to the mat.

Moe Kolohe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grandon Vozzy.

Vozzy pulls guard effortlessly.
Vozzy wants to sweep but no luck.

Vozzy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kolohe gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kolohe postures up and lands a big shot to Vozzy's brow.
Kolohe chips away with some ground and pound.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vozzy can do anything to dispel that myth.
Kolohe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Vozzy's head.
Vozzy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kolohe. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kolohe thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kolohe wants to get up but he can't break Vozzy's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Kolohe lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Vozzy has momentary wrist control but Kolohe slips an elbow through the middle.

Vozzy is looking to stand up but Kolohe isn't so interested in that idea.
Kolohe is stalling in the full guard.

Vozzy is trying to keep Kolohe in close.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Kolohe content to stall in guard here.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kolohe on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Moe Kolohe dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Vozzy shoots for a double leg takedown but Kolohe sprawls well. He's pushed Vozzy's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kolohe closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vozzy circles away.
Kolohe is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kolohe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Vozzy stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Moe Kolohe. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kolohe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Kolohe displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Vozzy.
Kolohe takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Vozzy fails with a takedown attempt.
Kolohe seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Kolohe shoots in but no luck this time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kolohe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kolohe wants it to stay on the feet.
Moe Kolohe is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Vozzy drives through and clinches with Kolohe against the cage.

Vozzy breaks the clinch.
Kolohe gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Vozzy counters by moving into the clinch.
Kolohe has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Vozzy avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Vozzy scores a nice knee to the body.

Kolohe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kolohe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Vozzy is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kolohe asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Vozzy is trying to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kolohe misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
You can see the frustration on Vozzy's face as Kolohe controls the position.
Vozzy tries to bench press Kolohe off him but Kolohe keeps the position.
Kolohe lands a nice forearm strike.

Vozzy misses with a strike from the bottom.

Kolohe is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Vozzy looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kolohe gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Vozzy is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kolohe lets go of the hold and Vozzy can pop his arm back in it's socket.
