Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bigfoot Werdum (ranked 3106 p4p, 4803 weight class) and Alda Love (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Werdum tries for a takedown but Love sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Love is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Love closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Love is pressed up against the cage. Werdum has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Love down to the mat. Love avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Werdum tries to keep at a distance but Love has taken the fight into the clinch.

Love really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Werdum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

You can see the frustration on Werdum's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Love is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Love gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Love gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Love apologises and we restart here on the feet.

It looks like Love might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Love shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Love showed some decent athleticism there.

Love looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Werdum with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
