The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez tries to clinch up but Thibodeaux circles away and keeps his distance.

That was a close second round but I would say that Radamen Sanchez will probably get the nod.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sanchez accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sanchez throws a strike but Thibodeaux rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Sanchez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Sanchez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Thibodeaux can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Sanchez has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Thibodeaux is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Sanchez.
Thibodeaux thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sanchez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
