Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marc Magomedov (ranked 4994 p4p, 4840 weight class) and Shimura Tenko (ranked 434 p4p, 417 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marc Magomedov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shimura Tenko! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tenko lands a body shot.
Tenko lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Tenko gets caught napping as Magomedov dives in and scores a takedown. Tenko manages to retain guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Magomedov trying to control the position from guard on top but Tenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tenko is pulling down on Magomedov's head to control his posture. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tenko can do anything to dispel that myth. Magomedov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Tenko is looking to stand up but Magomedov isn't so interested in that idea. Tenko looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Magomedov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tenko dives on top into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tenko's corner is telling him to maintain position. Magomedov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tenko doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tenko manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Magomedov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tenko's guard. Tenko utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. That's two minutes gone in the round. Magomedov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Tenko wants to stand and escape but Magomedov is having none of it. Magomedov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tenko's guard. Tenko is looking for a sweep. Magomedov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Magomedov in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Tenko tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Magomedov!
