Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zico Macedo (ranked 2897 p4p, 6000 weight class) and Adolfo Correia (ranked 365 p4p, 592 weight class). Macedo comes to the cage accompanied by They Don’t Care About Us. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zico Macedo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adolfo Correia! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Correia enables Macedo to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Correia manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Macedo content to stall in guard here. Macedo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Correia is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Correia keeps trying to improve his position. Correia had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Macedo defends it easily. Correia wants to stand and escape but Macedo is having none of it. Macedo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Macedo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Macedo trying to control the position from guard on top but Correia is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Macedo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Macedo wants to control from the top but Correia keeps moving. Correia wants to stand but Macedo is controlling the position. Correia is adopting a defensive guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macedo drops back looking for a leg! Correia is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Correia manages to kick Macedo off! Macedo jumps back into Correia's guard. Correia wants to stand and escape but Macedo is having none of it. Correia lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Macedo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Correia can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Correia wants to stand but Macedo has a closed guard, so he can't escape. We've been hearing good reports from Macedo's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Macedo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Correia got a little sloppy there for a moment and Macedo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Correia has managed to get both his arms back between Macedo's legs - danger averted. Correia trying to stand up but can't free himself from Macedo's guard. Macedo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Macedo looking for a triangle here. Correia is fighting it but it looks tight! Macedo pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Correia is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Zico Macedo! Zico Macedo took some time post fight to say the following; 'I want a trilogy with cadela Nedser, he is a weak champion who talk too much. He did not talk when I submit him. Vamos last time I was not in it but now I know I win and be fun champion, LAFC give me a shot! '. The defeated Adolfo Correia had this to say: 'I didn't get the win today but I am not going anywhere and will continue to train hard and win fights.'.
