Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shingen Takeda (ranked 2278 p4p, 3186 weight class) and Toyotomi Ieyasu (ranked 264 p4p, 335 weight class). Ieyasu has chosen Traitors by Homemade Weapons as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shingen Takeda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Toyotomi Ieyasu! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Takeda jabs at Ieyasu's body. Takeda on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Takeda throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Ieyasu looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Takeda looks to land a left hand but Ieyasu moved out of range nicely. Takeda scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Ieyasu wants to get back to full guard. Ieyasu won't allow Takeda to pass to mount. Ieyasu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Takeda is working away from the top position though. Ieyasu is defending against the submission attempts here by Takeda.
Ieyasu is doing well to control the position and prevent Takeda from advancing to side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Takeda is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ieyasu is just riding it out for now. Takeda eventually gives up the hold. Ieyasu is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takeda trying to control the pace. Ieyasu is not content to let Takeda control the position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Takeda in particular looking to stall. Ieyasu actively working from the bottom here. Ieyasu is looking to regain full guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Takeda stalling away here and it's allowed Ieyasu to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Ieyasu wants to hit a sweep here but Takeda passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Ieyasu there! Takeda takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Ieyasu tries to lock up and control but Takeda gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Ieyasu is controlling an arm, preventing Takeda from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Takeda takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Takeda tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Takeda is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Ieyasu is surviving well by controlling Takeda's body position as best he can. Ieyasu keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Ieyasu regains half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ieyasu tries to roll over but Takeda keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Takeda is looking for a kimura here.

Ieyasu tries to get to full guard but Takeda has control of the leg. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Takeda perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Ieyasu tries to get to full guard but Takeda has control of the leg. Shingen Takeda dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ieyasu lands a really nice looking cross but Takeda seems unphased.
Toyotomi Ieyasu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Takeda takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Toyotomi Ieyasu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ieyasu leaves Takeda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. It seemed like Ieyasu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Takeda takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. The fight stays on the outside here - Takeda looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Ieyasu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ieyasu trying to control but Takeda is working from the bottom. Takeda working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ieyasu. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ieyasu tries to free his leg and advance position but Takeda is retaining full guard. Takeda keeping moving, preventing Ieyasu from controlling successfully. Ieyasu passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Ieyasu is looking to take a break and control but Takeda is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are battling for position here. Takeda manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Takeda keeping moving, preventing Ieyasu from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Takeda seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Ieyasu tries to free his leg and advance position but Takeda is retaining full guard. Ieyasu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Ieyasu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Takeda swivels though and keeps the full guard. Takeda avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Ieyasu wants to stand but Takeda has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takeda utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ieyasu wants to control from the top but Takeda keeps moving.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Ieyasu connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Nice takedown defense from Ieyasu. No joy for Takeda on that attempt. Ieyasu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Ieyasu scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Takeda has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ieyasu finds it's way round the side to connect with Takeda's head. Takeda throws a body punch but Ieyasu moves out of range. Takeda has his takedown stuffed letting Ieyasu counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shingen Takeda. That's going to take a lot out of him. Takeda drives through and clinches with Ieyasu against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ieyasu manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Ieyasu is looking for a triangle but Takeda pushes his legs off easily.

Takeda got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ieyasu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Takeda has managed to get both his arms back between Ieyasu's legs - danger averted. Ieyasu is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Toyotomi Ieyasu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Ieyasu shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ieyasu throwing strikes from guard but Takeda blocks nicely. Ieyasu trying to control the position from guard on top but Takeda is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ieyasu controls from within his opponent's guard. Ieyasu sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Takeda doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Ieyasu paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Takeda - great work!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Shingen Takeda! A very excited looking Shingen Takeda made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. Toyotomi Ieyasu spoke after the fight, saying 'The child has saved you. Be grateful, as I am, for he has saved us all tonight. Darkness is at the door and next time he may not be able to stop it. '.
