Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shane MacKallister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Wallace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). William Wallace has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shane MacKallister!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Wallace!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

MacKallister gets a takedown into half guard.

MacKallister wants to work for an arm triangle but Wallace is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Wallace flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
MacKallister wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wallace keeps working.
Wallace is pressing down on MacKallister's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wallace utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

MacKallister knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wallace on the ground.

Wallace has his foot on MacKallister's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. MacKallister works his way back into a safe position though.

Wallace had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. MacKallister is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Wallace Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take MacKallister's back instead.

Wallace has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for MacKallister.
I really don't envy MacKallister right now.

MacKallister breaks Wallace's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

MacKallister is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Wallace has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but MacKallister can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

MacKallister feints and as Wallace raises his hands in defense, MacKallister changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Wallace is trying to control the position but MacKallister postures up.
Wallace throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Wallace can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as MacKallister controls the pace.
MacKallister distracts Wallace with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

MacKallister has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
MacKallister passes Wallace's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

and MacKallister decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wallace's guard.
MacKallister pushes down on Wallace's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Wallace is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but MacKallister pulls his head out easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

MacKallister bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

MacKallister on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if MacKallister tries to get out of the position.

Wallace looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Wallace is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
MacKallister is trying to stand.
MacKallister wants to sweep but Wallace has passed to side control!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Wallace is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but MacKallister is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
MacKallister wants to control but Wallace postures up.
MacKallister is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Wallace is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

MacKallister swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Wallace prevents MacKallister from getting the reversal.
MacKallister bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Wallace escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. MacKallister gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Wallace shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Wallace takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

MacKallister closes the distance and pushes Wallace back into the cage.

MacKallister turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and MacKallister manages to end up in side control.

MacKallister is trying to control the action in half guard but Wallace is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Wallace has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. MacKallister is working away from the top position though.
Wallace moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
MacKallister wants to stand but Wallace has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Wallace is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! MacKallister has his hands clasped together but Wallace extends an breaks MacKallister's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Wallace.
