Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Adam Pereira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jannick Michielsen!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michielsen cracks Pereira with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Pereira doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Michielsen to counter with a crisp jab.
Pereira shoots and misses
and Michielsen counters with a straight right hand.
Michielsen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pereira.
Michielsen throws out a counter right but Pereira avoids it with no problem.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Pereira. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pereira shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Michielsen counters with a left and a right that stings Pereira.
Michielsen slaps away a takedown attempt from Pereira, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A jab lands there for Michielsen.
Michielsen lands a really nice looking cross but Pereira seems unphased.
Pereira doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pereira takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Michielsen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Michielsen scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Pereira is rocked!
Michielsen fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Oh Pereira is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Pereira takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
A jab from Michielsen finds it's way through Pereira's defenses.
Michielsen has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.

Pereira looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Michielsen scores with a sloppy right hand. Pereira should have avoided that one.
Pereira gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Michielsen gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
