Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gus McCrae (ranked 900 p4p, 276 weight class) and Gilbervan Soares (ranked 135 p4p, 40 weight class). Gus McCrae could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gilbervan Soares's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 4 - 1, fighting out of New York, Gus McCrae! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gilbervan Soares! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soares lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. McCrae throws a looping overhand right but Soares ducks down to avoid it. McCrae looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Soares digs a good hook to McCrae's body.
Soares takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Soares misses with a head kick.
McCrae connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Soares throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Soares loads up on a big right hand but McCrae slips the punch. Soares's hands are dropping dangerously low here and McCrae connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Soares scrambles back to his feet. Soares throws a low kick but McCrae moves out of range easily. Soares throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little feinted left hand from McCrae on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Soares misses the shot to the body. Soares punishes McCrae's body with a nice straight punch. Gilbervan Soares seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McCrae throws a jab when Soares was well out of range. A nice side step and Soares releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Soares moves away from the strike by McCrae. Soares drops down looking to force a counter takedown but McCrae defends it well. McCrae wobbles Soares with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! McCrae dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Soares to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Gus McCrae! Gus McCrae very nearly forgot to thank Brooklyn Apothecary amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
