Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, BC Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daniel Steel!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel misses with a straight right.
Daniel Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Steel uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Smith has time to react.
Steel works the jab nicely.
Smith closes the distance and clinches.
Smith pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Steel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Smith counters with a nice double leg into side control. Steel won't be happy with that.
You can see the frustration on Steel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Steel is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smith has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Smith connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Steel some visible discomfort.
Smith grinds an elbow into Steel's temple.
Smith tries to move to mount but Steel blocks the move with his legs.
Steel can't do much from the bottom here.
Smith lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Steel down.
Smith creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Steel looking for a sweep but Smith has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Steel is in a horrible position here. Smith smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Smith with shots to the head and body - Steel looks very uncomfortable down there.
Steel is rocked!
Smith connects with a bit shot that sees Steel covering up! More strikes from Smith and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Smith is our winner by TKO!
