Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julio Christ (ranked 2559 p4p, 2255 weight class) and Lino Silva (ranked 88 p4p, 79 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lino Silva!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva rushes Christ and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Christ avoiding damage as Silva throws knees to the body.
Christ misses with a body punch.
Christ wants to break free but Silva has control.
Silva misses with a hook to the ribs.
Silva misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Christ.
Christ blocks an elbow strike from Silva.
Christ misses with a hook from the clinch.
Silva creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Christ's defenses.

It looks like Julio Christ has been cut.

Christ escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Silva moves into range and clinches up with Christ.

Silva told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

Christ pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Christ looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Christ swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.
Christ waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Silva.
Silva walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Christ paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Christ keeps the fight on the outside.
Christ is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Christ lands a jab.

Silva clinches.

Christ pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lino Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva wants to clinch.
Christ lands with an uppercut that bounces Silva off the cage and back into range.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Christ swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Silva looks up at the clock. Bad move! Christ lands a right hand from hell, dropping Silva. Christ pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

After winning the bout, Julio Christ thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
