Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yoshi Takano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hueng Son!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Son keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Takano throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Son.
Son tries to score with a low kick but Takano moves his leg out of the way.
Takano lands a nice shot to the body.
Takano looks to land a combination but Son avoids it well.
Son has taken the fight to the clinch.
A short uppercut from Son.
Son lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Takano backwards.
Takano using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Son has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Son lands a shoulder strike.
Son is pushing Takano up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Son misses with a short punch on the inside.
Takano swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Son fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Son misses with a hook from the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Takano misses with a body punch.
Son misses with a shot to the kidneys.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Son breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Takano connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Takano pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Son looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Son throws a low kick but Takano avoids it.
It looked like Takano was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Good standup being displayed there by Takano as he connects with a hook.
Takano connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Son momentarily.
Takano tries to bum rush Son with a series of wild strikes but Son uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Son avoids the body shot from Takano.
Son thuds a left hand into Takano's body.
Son has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Takano pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Son closes the distance and pushes Takano back into the cage.
Son lands a right hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Son scores with a nice hook to the head.
Son tries to throw a body punch but Takano avoids it by throwing Son back against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Son fails to land.
Takano blocks an uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Son is struggling to control the position.
Takano misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Son.
Son cracks Takano with a nice body shot.
Son is leaning against Takano and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Takano is breathing heavily.
Son lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Son lands with a light punch inside.
Takano tumbles to the floor! Son threw a big shot that dropped him and now Son is on top looking to finish! Takano has guard but can he survive?!
Takano is rocked!
Son gets to his feet and stands over Takano, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Takano felt that one! Son unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Takano from any more punishment!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hueng Son!
After the fight, Hueng Son was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
