Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jubei Akechi (ranked 1559 p4p, 1564 weight class) and Jimmy Burroughs (ranked 193 p4p, 195 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burroughs shoots in but no luck this time.

Akechi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Burroughs swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Burroughs drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Burroughs darts in trying to clinch
and Akechi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Burroughs uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Akechi.
Burroughs is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Akechi with a body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burroughs looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Burroughs shoots in looking for a takedown but Akechi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Burroughs's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Burroughs takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

A decent looking cross lands there for Akechi.

Akechi sizes up Burroughs with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Akechi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Akechi shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Burroughs takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Akechi sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Burroughs bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
