Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Joseph Watson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Monty Don!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson misses with a series of wild punches.
Watson lands with a shot to the body.

and Don cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Watson stuffs the takedown attempt from Don. Don gets slowly back to his feet.
Watson misses with a double jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Don shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Don was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Don tries to advance to mount but Watson instead regains half guard.
Don wants to advance to full mount but Watson doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Don working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Don accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Watson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Don stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Watson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Watson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Don sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Don trying to control but Watson is working from the bottom.
Don trying to move into half guard but instead Watson has managed to sweep!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Don is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Watson throws a strike but Don rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Don with a flurry of punches that miss.
Don trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Watson wants to control from the top but Don keeps moving.
Watson is looking to work some ground and pound but Don has wrist control.
Don tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Don is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Watson defends well.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Watson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Don's head.
Don trying to keep a closed guard but Watson is proving a slippery customer.
Watson postures up in Don's guard and throws a big left but Don blocks it.

Don tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Watson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Watson chips away with some ground and pound.
Don wants to sweep here but Watson controlling him for the moment.
Don keeping moving, preventing Watson from controlling successfully.
Watson pushes down on Don's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Watson passes the guard and advances to mount!

Watson in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Watson lands with some strikes.
Don keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Watson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Don tries to hold on but Watson pushes him away.
Watson lands with some strikes.

Don is rocked!
Watson is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Don goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Watson!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Paul Joseph Watson!
Paul Joseph Watson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
