Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Isle (ranked 2649 p4p, 4206 weight class) and Danilo Mendes (ranked 369 p4p, 521 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Isle has Mendes up against the cage in a clinch.
Isle tries to throw a body punch but Mendes avoids it by throwing Isle back against the cage.
Mendes wants to stall.
Mendes tries to break free but Isle pushes him back against the cage.
Isle lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Mendes backwards.
Isle lands with a left to the head.
Mendes tries to stall but Isle uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Isle.
Mendes looks winded!
Isle throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Isle lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
It looks like Danilo Mendes has been cut.
A short right from Isle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Isle cracks Mendes with a nice body shot.
Isle presses Mendes against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Isle lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Mendes looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Isle lands with a short shot to the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Isle drops Mendes onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Mendes is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Mendes is rocked!
Isle pushes Mendes against the cage. Isle is working some dirty boxing. Isle pushes off with a quick right hook! Mendes goes down! Mendes tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Isle moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thomas Isle!
After winning the bout, Thomas Isle thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
