Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anthony Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Daniel Dubois! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dubois fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dubois throws a one two combo.
It looks like Anthony Johnson has been cut. A combination from Dubois does no damage. Dubois misses with a series of wild punches.
Johnson lands with a slapping head kick. The fighters circle momentarily. Johnson darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Dubois drops Johnson with a left right combo! Dubois follows him down to the ground into side control.
Johnson is rocked! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dubois has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Johnson is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Dubois yanks on the arm and Johnson is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Dubois.
