And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyanka tries to bum rush Santos with a series of wild strikes but Santos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kyanka throws a right hand that Santos ducks under and follows up with a left that Santos also avoids with ease.
Kyanka misses with a series of wild punches.
Kyanka throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kyanka throws a right and a left that Santos avoids nicely.
Santos fails to land the takedown.
Santos avoids a punch combination nicely.

Santos closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Santos prevents Kyanka from standing back up.
Santos has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Santos jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kyanka manages to avoid the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kyanka gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Santos trying to control but Kyanka is having none of it.
Kyanka is trying to stand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Santos looking to control and managing it successfully.
The referee warns Kyanka that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Santos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kyanka is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Kyanka wants to hold on but Santos pushes him away.
Santos looking to control but Kyanka is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Santos looking to secure an arm triangle but Kyanka defends it well.

Santos working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kyanka turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Santos off and cradles Kyanka's limp body as Santos celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Kirill Santos!
