The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tate tries to keep at a distance but Martinez has taken the fight into the clinch.

Martinez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tate to his feet.
Javier Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tate throws a right hand that Martinez ducks under and follows up with a left that Martinez also avoids with ease.
A little feinted left hand from Martinez on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
