Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alex Velnart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Henry Tudor!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velnart throws a right and a left that Tudor avoids nicely.
Tudor showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Velnart.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tudor.
Tudor shoots in for a takedown but Velnart shows good takedown defense.
Tudor slips a jab and a cross from Velnart.
Tudor on the wrong end of a nice jab.
It looks like Henry Tudor has been cut.
Velnart throws the left hand but Tudor avoids the punch easily.
Velnart throws an overhand right that lands on Tudor's shoulder, as Tudor tries to avoid the shot.
Velnart throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tudor feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Tudor looking to sit in guard and control but Velnart gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Tudor throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Tudor is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tudor wants to control the position but Velnart says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Tudor wants to control but Velnart is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tudor is trying to get back to full guard.
Tudor is trying to maintain the position but Velnart is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Tudor with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Velnart to score with a decent uppercut.
A nice combination there by Velnart.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
