Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Magnus Goddard (ranked 2190 p4p, 2708 weight class) and Genji Kamogawa (ranked 235 p4p, 279 weight class). Kamogawa has chosen The Veer Union - Bitter End as his entrance music. Magnus Goddard has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Magnus Goddard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Genji Kamogawa! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Goddard is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kamogawa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. A jab from Kamogawa misses. Kamogawa swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Goddard decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kamogawa's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kamogawa holds on and takes a little breather. Goddard wants to pass the guard but Kamogawa is keeping the position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Goddard accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kamogawa preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Goddard loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goddard pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kamogawa is keeping the position for now. Goddard definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kamogawa working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Goddard. Goddard slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Goddard working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Goddard throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Kamogawa takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. An elbow from Goddard crashes against the mat.
The strikes coming from Goddard are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Kamogawa dodges the ground and pound from Goddard. Goddard tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Goddard is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kamogawa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Goddard tries to move to mount but Kamogawa blocks the move with his legs. Kamogawa trying to control but Goddard flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Kamogawa trying to control but not successfully. Kamogawa is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Goddard throwing strikes and Kamogawa squirms under the pressure, ending up mounted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kamogawa blocking the ground and pound. Goddard has control of Kamogawa's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kamogawa regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goddard is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Kamogawa has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Kamogawa! Goddard is looking for a triangle but Kamogawa pushes his legs off easily.
Goddard looking for a sweep. Not yet Goddard, not yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Goddard throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Kamogawa sitting in guard here, content to control. Goddard is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Goddard looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kamogawa is one step ahead there. Goddard working a defensive guard here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kamogawa won't allow Goddard to sweep him here. Goddard controls Kamogawa momentarily but Kamogawa frees himself. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Magnus Goddard dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Kamogawa cracks Goddard with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Kamogawa scores with a hook. Kamogawa lands with a nice body punch. Magnus Goddard is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kamogawa lands a jab to the nose. Nice sprawl there from Kamogawa as Goddard shoots in. Oooooh!!! Kamogawa has knocked Goddard down with a huge combo! Kamogawa steps away and waves a wobbly Goddard back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Goddard is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kamogawa with a body punch. A glancing blow. Oh Goddard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Goddard fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kamogawa connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Goddard out cold! This one is over in a flash!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Genji Kamogawa! A less than humble Genji Kamogawa misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
