PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Slugs (ranked 1660 p4p, 2561 weight class) and Beau Canada (ranked 53 p4p, 61 weight class). Slugs comes to the cage accompanied by Too Bad - By Me. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Doug Slugs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Beau Canada!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slugs gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Canada.
Canada swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Slugs tries to counter by clinching up but Canada breaks away and moves out of range.

Canada clinches up against the cage.
Canada misses with a punch to the body.
Canada blocks the elbow strike.
Slugs with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Canada lands a hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Beau Canada has been cut.
Slugs throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Canada gets through Slugs's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Slugs has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Canada seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Slugs does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A very excited looking Beau Canada made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
