Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hans Norvick!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Norvick with that takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Norvick is defended easily by Assad.
Norvick shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Norvick perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Assad knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Norvick on the ground.

and Assad counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

and Assad counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Assad.

Norvick has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Assad after a bit of a struggle.
Assad goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Assad effectively controlling the action here.
Assad using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Norvick has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Norvick escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Norvick has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Norvick takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Assad is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Norvick can do to turn this around?
Assad throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Norvick stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Norvick tries to move into range but Assad moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Assad lands with an overhand left.
Norvick has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Norvick is rocked!
Assad lands a hook that stumbles Norvick back into the cage. Assad follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Norvick to the canvas! Assad pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Norvick has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
