Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harley Blaze (ranked 6609 p4p, 6497 weight class) and Billy Bong (ranked 100 p4p, 195 weight class). Billy Bong has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Harley Blaze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Bong!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bong falls off balance throwing a combination
and Blaze counters with a one-two to the body.
Blaze fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bong ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Bong throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blaze's waist but Blaze gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bong off to one side.
Bong misses with a takedown attempt
and Blaze counters by clinching up.
Blaze gets underhooks to prevent Bong's takedown attempt.
Harley Blaze has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Bong.
Blaze lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Blaze prevents a takedown attempt there.
Blaze gets control of Bong's arms and successfully pulls guard. Blaze will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Blaze is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Blaze lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Blaze defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bong.
Blaze was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Bong stuffs the takedown.
Bong scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Blaze wants to control but Bong is keeping busy.
Bong tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Bong perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Bong tries to pass to full mount but Blaze defends it.
Well, if Bong is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Blaze is trying to maintain the position but Bong is very close to passing his half guard.
Blaze makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Blaze.
Bong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blaze. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Blaze is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bong is stalling in the full guard.
Bong postures up in Blaze's guard and throws a big left but Blaze blocks it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Blaze tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bong paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bong forces Blaze back against the cage and clinches.
Bong wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Bong misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Blaze.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bong is struggling to control the position.
Blaze is looking to take this one to the mat.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Harley Blaze will probably get the nod.

Blaze throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bong holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Blaze keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bong's efforts to push away.
Blaze tries to break the clinch but Bong is controlling the position.
Blaze wants a takedown.
Blaze stalling in the clinch but Bong improves position.
Blaze gets underhooks to prevent Bong's takedown attempt.
Blaze prevents Bong from breaking the clinch.
Bong has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Blaze clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blaze trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

Blaze rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Bong is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Blaze is just riding it out for now. Bong eventually gives up the hold.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bong is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Blaze sees it coming and defends easily.
Bong lands strikes from half guard.
Blaze wants to get back to full guard.
Blaze tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Blaze gets full guard.
Blaze not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Bong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bong pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Blaze is looking to counter the offense by Bong and move into the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blaze is defended easily by Bong.
Bong shoots in looking for a takedown but Blaze manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bong's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Blaze throws a big counter combination but Bong scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Bong darts in and clinches Blaze up against the cage.
Bong tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Blaze smiles and moves away.
Bong will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Bong lands with a nice body punch.
Bong moves into range and clinches up with Blaze.
Bong is trying to pull guard but Blaze turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Bong goes for a takedown attempt but Blaze pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bong is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Blaze is defending well for now.
Blaze tries to break free but Bong pushes him back against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Bong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

and Bong holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Blaze is trying to push Bong away but Bong has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Blaze jumps into guard, dragging Bong to the mat.
Bong tries to free his leg and advance position but Blaze is retaining full guard.

Blaze lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bong can do anything to dispel that myth.
Blaze got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bong has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Blaze has managed to get both his arms back between Bong's legs - danger averted.
Bong pulls Blaze in close to his closed guard and prevents Blaze from doing any damage or advancing position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bong looking for a guillotine here but Blaze defends easily.

Bong is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Blaze defends well.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The fight stays on the outside here - Blaze looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Blaze throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bong's waist but Bong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blaze off to one side.

Blaze is trying to force a seperation but Bong has the dominant position.

Bong jumps guard but Blaze stands there with Bong around his waist. Bong gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bong wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Blaze's closed guard. He's half up but Blaze has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Blaze pivots and extends the arm, Bong falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Blaze! Well done that man!
