Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dick Pawlik (ranked 5 p4p, 26 weight class) and Artturi Reinikainen (ranked 1 p4p, 3 weight class). Pawlik's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, John Butler - Ocean . Reinikainen has chosen Viimeinen päivä as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Dick Pawlik! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 14 - 3, fighting out of Amsterdam, Artturi Reinikainen! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pawlik, as that shot connected.
Pawlik bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Pawlik lands with a shot to the body. Pawlik fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Reinikainen sprawls well initially but Pawlik persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Reinikainen trying to control but Pawlik postures up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Reinikainen tries to roll over but Pawlik keeps him under control. Reinikainen is not content to let Pawlik control the position.

Reinikainen felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Pawlik is looking to take a break and control but Reinikainen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pawlik working over Reinikainen with some ground and pound. and Reinikainen makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Reinikainen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pawlik takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Reinikainen throws out a loose jab but Pawlik uses good head movement to avoid it. Pawlik appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Pawlik tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Reinikainen was well out of range. Poor timing from Pawlik. Pawlik takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Reinikainen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pawlik's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pawlik's back! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Reinikainen scores with punches to the body. Pawlik postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Reinikainen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pawlik, into his guard. Reinikainen sitting in guard here, content to control. Pawlik escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reinikainen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Pawlik tries to land a sweep but no joy.

He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reinikainen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reinikainen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pawlik wants to sweep but no luck. Reinikainen trying to control but Pawlik is working from the bottom. Artturi Reinikainen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Pawlik dives in for a single leg takedown but Reinikainen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Reinikainen tries to work over Pawlik's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Pawlik is trying to pull guard but Reinikainen turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Reinikainen misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Reinikainen lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Pawlik tries to break free but Reinikainen pushes him back against the cage. Reinikainen has Pawlik pressed against the cage, preventing Pawlik from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Pawlik breaks from the clinch.
Pawlik throws a lazy right hand but Reinikainen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pawlik connects with a nice looking jab.

Pawlik connects with a good right hand that stumbles Reinikainen. Reinikainen circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Pawlik shoots for a double leg takedown but Reinikainen sprawls well. He's pushed Pawlik's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. As Pawlik backs off Reinikainen throws a huge counter combo but Pawlik manages to avoid it all. Artturi Reinikainen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Reinikainen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pawlik. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Reinikainen has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Pawlik to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Reinikainen is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Pawlik pulls down on the head and he's put Reinikainen to sleep! This one is all over!

Our winner, Dick Pawlik, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
