Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kento Kawamata (ranked 186 p4p, 69 weight class) and Randy Randleman (ranked 27 p4p, 14 weight class). Randleman comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bloodhound Gang - Bad Touch kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Kento Kawamata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Randleman!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randleman looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Randleman misses with a looping right.
Kawamata appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Kawamata throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Randleman lands with a nice body punch.
We've been informed that Randleman has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Randleman tries to land a front kick but Kawamata steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Kawamata appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Randleman tries to circle away but Kawamata has him pinned against the cage.

Randleman fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kawamata.
Kawamata walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Randleman looks to land a combination but Kawamata avoids it well.
Randleman has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

and Randleman counters with a left to the body.
Randleman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kawamata stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Kawamata catches Randleman with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Randleman drops Kawamata with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kawamata looks back up at him and smiles so Randleman waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kawamata was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Kawamata ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Randy Randleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Kawamata pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Randleman punishes Kawamata's body with a nice straight punch.

Randleman drops Kawamata with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kawamata looks back up at him and smiles so Randleman waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Kawamata is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Randleman throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kawamata is aggressively charging in as Randleman backs up avoiding any damage. Randleman tosses out a jab and Kawamata runs right into it face first! Kawamata is out cold! Randleman dropped down on all fours and is barking in Kawamata's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:12 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Randy Randleman!
Randy Randleman decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
