Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Babinski (ranked 49 p4p, 129 weight class) and Sven Torvik (ranked 9 p4p, 22 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Viktor Babinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sven Torvik!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babinski throws a hook but Torvik avoids it easily.

Babinski fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Torvik displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Babinski throws out the jab.
It seemed like Torvik was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Torvik swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Torvik is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Babinski had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into mush.
Babinski lands a nice leg kick that just misses Torvik's sensitive parts.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

I was talking to Babinski's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Sven Torvik's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Viktor Babinski spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
