Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Third Wife (ranked 1468 p4p, 686 weight class) and Ethan Mayer (ranked 196 p4p, 95 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wife throws a hook but Mayer avoids it easily.
Wife has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Wife misses with a lunging right hand
and Mayer counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Wife throws a shot from downtown. Mayer moves away and avoids it.
Wife rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Mayer counters with a right hand to the body.
Wife misses the body punch
and Mayer counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wife keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Mayer.
Wife misses with a lunging right hand
and Mayer counters with a crisp right hand that drops Wife! Mayer lets Wife back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wife misses with a body shot.
Mayer steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Wife is out on his feet! Mayer sets himself and nearly takes Wife's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
