PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Blackout Mane (ranked 1216 p4p, 4433 weight class) and Karol Orlowski (ranked 157 p4p, 449 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Orlowski as Mane shoots in.
Orlowski feints a counter leg kick.
Orlowski throws out a powerful jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Orlowski. Mane does a little dance to reset his feet.
Orlowski is looking to chop away at Mane's legs.
Orlowski cracks Mane with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Orlowski ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Orlowski throws a lazy right hand but Mane sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A little feinted left hand from Mane on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Mane takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

A slow jab from Mane misses its intended target.

A nice side step and Orlowski releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Mane closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Orlowski's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mane tries to free his leg and advance position but Orlowski is retaining full guard.

Mane wants to control from the top but Orlowski keeps moving.
Mane is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Mane is trying to pull guard but Orlowski has him pressed against the cage.
Orlowski blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Orlowski takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Mane is trying to drag Orlowski to the mat but Orlowski just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Mane wants the takedown. Orlowski is fighting it off but Mane persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Orlowski's guard against the cage.

Mane seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Mane throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Orlowski escapes and throws Mane's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Mane is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Shut Up & Train! {$1000}, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Orlowski has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mane finds it's way round the side to connect with Orlowski's head.

Mane drops back, looking for a kneebar! Orlowski looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Orlowski looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Orlowski!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mane is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Orlowski has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Orlowski!
