CWC 298 - Steel vs Lee PBP Commentary |
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 24 wins and 19 losses; Bjj Steel! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 33 wins and 21 losses; Morrison Lee! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Wesley Smith.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Lee is trying hard to land a takedown here. Steel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Steel stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Steel wants it to stay on the feet. Lee shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Steel but Steel pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bjj Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Morrison Lee. Lee tries for a takedown but Steel sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bjj Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lee shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lee showed some decent athleticism there.
