Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rob Van (ranked 2767 p4p, 1505 weight class) and Dan Dinklage (ranked 365 p4p, 200 weight class). Dan Dinklage has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rob Van!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dan Dinklage!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Van.
Van throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dinklage.
Van throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Van throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Van staying out of range there.
Van tries to counter by clinching up but Dinklage breaks away and moves out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Van, as that shot connected.
Van wants to clinch.
Dinklage is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Dinklage moves away from the strike by Van.
Dinklage drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Van defends it well.
Van lands an overhand right.
Dinklage looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Van has closed the distance and engaged Dinklage in a clinch.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Van swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Van managing to block the knees to the body from Dinklage.

Van throws a head punch that misses.
Dinklage breaks the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Van tests Dinklage's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Dinklage counters with a takedown into side control.

Dinklage connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Van some visible discomfort.
Dinklage in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Dinklage creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Van sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Van knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dinklage on the ground.
Dinklage misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Dinklage lands a nice forearm strike.
Dinklage lands a decent elbow from side control.
Dinklage working the ground and pound but Van is defending the strikes.

Dinklage tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Van parries the strikes from Dinklage easily there. Dinklage is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Van to escape.
Van is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dinklage controlling from side mount.
Dinklage tries to score with some ground and pound. Van controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Dinklage throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Dinklage scores with punches from side control.
Dinklage misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Van on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Van is breathing heavily.
Dinklage works to advance to full mount. Van defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dinklage scoring with strikes but Van is staying in there.
Van is rocked!
Dinklage lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Van! Dinklage sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Van and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Dan Dinklage!
After winning the bout, Dan Dinklage thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
