Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cash Cartier (ranked 5093 p4p, 5765 weight class) and Charles Mesquita (ranked 475 p4p, 435 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cash Cartier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Mesquita!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartier uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mesquita has time to react.
Cartier looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cartier throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mesquita's head.
Mesquita tries for a takedown but Cartier sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Mesquita takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Mesquita drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mesquita stands up over Cartier, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Mesquita postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cartier knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mesquita on the ground.

Mesquita looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mesquita would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Mesquita has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd cheers as Cartier lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mesquita doesn't seem phased though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mesquita gets to his feet and stands over Cartier, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Cartier felt that one! Mesquita unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Cartier from any more punishment!

In defeat, Cash Cartier stepped up to the mic, saying 'Still got paid '.
