The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ship clinches with his opponent.
Ship blocks an uppercut.
Ship is trying to pull guard but Lemieux turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Lemieux lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

It looks like Roman Ship has been cut.

Ship pulls Lemieux into guard.
Lemieux sitting in guard here, content to control.
Lemieux's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lemieux accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lemieux would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Lemieux got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ship has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lemieux has managed to get both his arms back between Ship's legs - danger averted.
