Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rahim Shabazz (ranked 424 p4p, 459 weight class) and Jacob Rees Mogg (ranked 12 p4p, 13 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Rahim Shabazz has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Rahim Shabazz seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rahim Shabazz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 31 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jacob Rees Mogg! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shabazz throws the left hand but Rees Mogg avoids the punch easily. Rahim Shabazz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shabazz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rees Mogg's guard. Shabazz wants to control from the top but Rees Mogg keeps moving. Rees Mogg is adopting a defensive guard. Shabazz throwing strikes but missing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rees Mogg keeping full guard, as Shabazz tries to pass. Rees Mogg controls Shabazz momentarily but Shabazz frees himself.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shabazz postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Shabazz trying to control but Rees Mogg is working from the bottom. Shabazz looking to pass the guard. Shabazz drops back looking for a leg! Rees Mogg is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Rees Mogg manages to kick Shabazz off! Shabazz jumps back into Rees Mogg's guard. Shabazz wants to control from the top but Rees Mogg keeps moving. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. Shabazz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Shabazz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Rees Mogg manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Shabazz is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Rees Mogg lands a right hook to the body.
Shabazz digs a good body shot into Rees Mogg's ribs. Shabazz tries to clinch and Rees Mogg counters with a nice body shot. Shabazz has his takedown stuffed and Rees Mogg cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Rahim Shabazz has been cut. Shabazz scores with a nice body kick.
A shot to the body from Shabazz misses and Rees Mogg counters with a stiff right hand. Shabazz on the wrong end of a nice hook. Rees Mogg works Shabazz's body with a nice hook. Shabazz misses with a double jab
letting Rees Mogg counter with a right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shabazz misses with a lunging right hand
and Rees Mogg cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rees Mogg drops Shabazz with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Shabazz looks back up at him and smiles so Rees Mogg waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Shabazz is rocked! Rees Mogg drops Shabazz with a straight right hand, right on the button! Rees Mogg follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jacob Rees Mogg! In his post fight interview, Jacob Rees Mogg gave a big smile as he said 'Churchill would be delighted.'.
