The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Engozi throws a nice looking combination but Grouper bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Grouper seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Engozi uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Engozi misses with a double jab

Engozi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Engozi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Grouper tries to counter with a takedown but Engozi is quick to defend against it.
Grouper avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Engozi is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Grouper is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Engozi frees his head nicely. Oh but Grouper has switched to an armbar! Engozi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
