Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Cachorro Louco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and RRafael Dias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Teddy Cachorro Louco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, RRafael Dias! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dias avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Dias has a takedown stuffed. Dias fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dias. Teddy Cachorro Louco has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of RRafael Dias. Cachorro Louco misses with a takedown attempt and Dias counters with a shoot takedown. Cachorro Louco fights it but they end up in guard. Cachorro Louco keeping full guard, as Dias tries to pass. Dias prevents Cachorro Louco from getting back to his feet. Cachorro Louco wants to sweep but no luck. Dias won't allow Cachorro Louco to get back to his feet. Dias trying to control the position from guard on top but Cachorro Louco is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dias prevents Cachorro Louco from getting back to his feet. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cachorro Louco gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dias counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Cachorro Louco! Dias looks gassed! Dias has control of Cachorro Louco's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cachorro Louco regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cachorro Louco has given up his back. Will we see Dias going for some submissions?

Cachorro Louco wants to stand but Dias has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Cachorro Louco keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dias's head. Cachorro Louco postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Dias looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cachorro Louco is one step ahead there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dias can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cachorro Louco lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Cachorro Louco trying to control but Dias is working from the bottom. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cachorro Louco stopping the sweep attempt from Dias.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cachorro Louco has his takedown stuffed and Dias counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cachorro Louco won't be happy with that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dias tries to move into full mount but can't pass Cachorro Louco's legs. Cachorro Louco wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Dias is trying to get an arm triangle but Cachorro Louco is defending well.

Cachorro Louco might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Cachorro Louco is looking for a sweep. Cachorro Louco wants to control but Dias postures up. Dias is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cachorro Louco is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cachorro Louco looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dias! Dias really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Dias won't allow Cachorro Louco to get back to his feet. RRafael Dias has got the better of the ground game so far. Cachorro Louco tries to land a sweep but no joy. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Cachorro Louco fails with an attempt to clinch.
Dias walks forward, straight into a front kick from Cachorro Louco.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cachorro Louco feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dias tries to land a sweep but no joy. Cachorro Louco wanted to stand there but Dias had control of the position. Dias wants to sweep here but Cachorro Louco controlling him for the moment. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Cachorro Louco's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Cachorro Louco keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dias's head. Cachorro Louco wanted to stand there but Dias had control of the position. Dias keeping moving, preventing Cachorro Louco from controlling successfully. Dias has his foot on Cachorro Louco's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cachorro Louco works his way back into a safe position though.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cachorro Louco shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cachorro Louco was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Cachorro Louco prevents Dias from getting the reversal. Cachorro Louco working Dias over with strikes here. Dias is squirming around, avoiding Cachorro Louco's attempts to control the action. Dias really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Cachorro Louco lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Dias looking for a sweep. Not yet Dias, not yet. Cachorro Louco trying to control the position from guard on top but Dias is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Cachorro Louco wants to get up but he can't break Dias's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Dias is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cachorro Louco is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cachorro Louco has escaped and now he's on top! Dias is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cachorro Louco wants to get up but he can't break Dias's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Dias had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cachorro Louco is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Dias Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cachorro Louco's back instead. Dias somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Dias is trying to stick to Cachorro Louco's back but Cachorro Louco is turning into Dias. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Dias's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Cachorro Louco. Cachorro Louco is working Dias over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Dias looking to hit a scissor sweep but Cachorro Louco is one step ahead there. Cachorro Louco works over Dias with some ground and pound from guard.

Cachorro Louco changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dias looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Dias is trying to improve his position. Dias taking punishment in the form of punches.
Dias tries to improve position but can't. Cachorro Louco trying to control the action but Dias is working from the bottom. Dias takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Cachorro Louco lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Cachorro Louco will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Teddy Cachorro Louco. That's going to take a lot out of him. Cachorro Louco tries to clinch up but Dias circles away and keeps his distance. Dias stuffs the takedown attempt from Cachorro Louco. Cachorro Louco gets slowly back to his feet. Dias doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cachorro Louco counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Cachorro Louco misses with a takedown and Dias counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Dias wants to work for an arm triangle but Cachorro Louco is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Dias is thwarting Cachorro Louco's attempts to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! RRafael Dias comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Dias has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
