Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Old Leg Tartakov (ranked 536 p4p, 1127 weight class) and Bam Bam Gigolo (ranked 87 p4p, 178 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!The key to victory for Old Leg Tartakov has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tartakov closes the distance and pushes Gigolo back into the cage.

Gigolo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tartakov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Gigolo wants to counter with a clinch but Tartakov pushes him away.

and Tartakov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Tartakov is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gigolo gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Tartakov tightens his grip and picks Gigolo up, before dumping him to the ground. Gigolo manages to land in guard.

Gigolo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Gigolo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tartakov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Gigolo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

That was a close round but I would say that Old Leg Tartakov will probably get the nod.

The fighters circling - Tartakov throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A punch lands to the side of Gigolo 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Tartakov shoots in looking for a takedown. Gigolo tries to sprawl out of it but Tartakov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gigolo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Tartakov swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gigolo.
Tartakov pushes Gigolo away with a front kick.

Gigolo changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Tartakov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gigolo can do to turn this around?

Tartakov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gigolo is not content to let Tartakov control the position.
Tartakov has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Tartakov wants to pass the guard but Gigolo is defending well.

Gigolo is thowing punches from the bottom. Tartakov grabs hold of a loose arm and pivots for an armbar! It's tight and Gigolo has to tap! Superb work there from Tartakov!
