The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pereira closes the distance and clinches.
Carvalho jumps guard but Pereira stands there with Carvalho around his waist. Carvalho gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Carvalho drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pereira gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Pereira works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Pereira is looking to work some ground and pound but Carvalho has wrist control.

Carvalho is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pereira defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oh but Carvalho is tightening it up a little... Pereira has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
