The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longo misses with the body kick
and Vegas counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Vegas takes a swing at Longo's ribcage but misses.
Vegas looks to clinch
and Longo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Jimmy Vegas has been cut.
Longo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Longo cracks Vegas with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Longo throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Longo dodges the punch combination from Vegas.
A nice side step and Longo releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Vegas pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Vegas avoids the body shot from Longo.

Longo throws a solid leg kick but Vegas takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Longo.
Vegas lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

It seemed like Longo was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Longo is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Vegas rather than just go for the knockout.
Longo thuds a left hand into Vegas's body.
Nice straight punches there by Longo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Longo.
Longo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Vegas moves away.

Longo tries a body shot but Vegas blocks it.
Vegas misses with a hook from the clinch.

Vegas creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Vegas tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Longo lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Longo is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Longo misses with a hook to the ribs.
Longo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Longo works Vegas's body with a nice hook.

Longo stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Longo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Vegas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vegas throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Longo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Longo lands a body shot.
Longo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Vegas's hands.
Longo cracks Vegas with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Longo has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Vegas to stand back up!
Vegas is rocked!
Jimmy Vegas's cut is getting worse.
Longo measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Vegas! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
