Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kodiyak Redd (ranked 2248 p4p, 6022 weight class) and Robert Lambeth (ranked 131 p4p, 296 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kodiyak Redd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Robert Lambeth!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redd throws a low kick, looking for Lambeth's leg but Lambeth calmly moves out of range.
Lambeth moves in looking to clinch but Redd pushes him off.
Redd appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Lambeth tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Redd swivels and escapes.

Redd changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lambeth looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Redd creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lambeth sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Lambeth really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Redd. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lambeth can't do much from the bottom here.
Redd definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Redd lands a couple of good shots and Lambeth has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Lambeth is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Redd off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

As Redd backs off Lambeth throws a huge counter combo but Redd manages to avoid it all.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Redd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lambeth swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lambeth can do anything to dispel that myth.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lambeth keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Lambeth is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Redd half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Lambeth closes the distance and clinches up with Redd, looking for a takedown. Lambeth pushes Redd against the cage but Redd circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Redd throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Lambeth is trying to escape back to his feet but Redd uses the scramble to pass into side control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Lambeth tries to clinch

so Redd counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Lambeth has momentary wrist control but Redd slips an elbow through the middle.
Redd has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lambeth felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

A relieved looking Kodiyak Redd thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
