Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Rom (ranked 5963 p4p, 4665 weight class) and Cruz Domizkic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jorge Rom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cruz Domizkic!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Colin Fray and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rom looks for a takedown but Domizkic sprawls well.
As Rom backs off Domizkic throws a huge counter combo but Rom manages to avoid it all.
Domizkic tries for a takedown but Rom sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Rom defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Domizkic.
Rom throws a big counter combination but Domizkic scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Domizkic jumps into guard, dragging Rom to the mat.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Domizkic can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rom stands and steps away. Domizkic gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Rom gets caught flat footed, as Domizkic shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Domizkic throws a strike but Rom rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Rom is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Domizkic is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Domizkic is on top in guard.

Rom wants to stand but Domizkic is controlling the position.

Domizkic is looking for a kimura but Rom is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Domizkic to get the leverage.

Rom is looking to control Domizkic's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rom avoid being mounted?
Domizkic is just content to waste time from the top position. Rom takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Domizkic trying to control but Rom is working from the bottom.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Rom is pulling down on Domizkic's head. It's preventing any offense from Domizkic, at least for the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Domizkic changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rom tries to avoid it but Domizkic manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rom to the ground. Rom escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rom throws a quick counter head kick but Domizkic was just out of range.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Rom fails in his attempt to clinch.
Domizkic misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jorge Rom is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rom shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Domizkic as he jumps to the side.

Domizkic throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rom was covering up waiting for the punch and Domizkic finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Rom is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Rom prevents Domizkic from getting back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rom controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Domizkic controls Rom momentarily but Rom frees himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Rom tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Rom stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Rom wants it to stay on the feet.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Domizkic.

Domizkic drives through and clinches with Rom against the cage.

Domizkic has hold of one of Rom's legs. Rom is fighting the takedown attempt but Domizkic gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Rom shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Domizkic is trying to defend but Rom finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jorge Rom will probably get the nod.

Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.

Rom decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Domizkic has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rom can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Domizkic tries to escape but Rom is in control.

Rom is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Domizkic has escaped the position, nice work there.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Domizkic might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Rom haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Domizkic is not content to let Rom control the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Domizkic wants to control but Rom postures up.

Rom shoots in looking for a takedown but Domizkic manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rom's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Domizkic tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rom defends well and Domizkic ends up having to push Rom into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jorge Rom.
