Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikko Markkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silver is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Markkanen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Silver circles away.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mikko Markkanen just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Silver seems a little lost for a moment, as Markkanen dominates the positioning.

Markkanen is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Silver's shoulder. That is not cool.
Silver is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Markkanen has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Silver is pushing Markkanen's head away, looking to escape. Markkanen manages to hold on to the position though.
Silver is looking to get back to his feet here but Markkanen is keeping cool and he's managed to take Silver's back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Markkanen shoots in for a double leg but Silver sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Markkanen tries for a takedown but Silver sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Markkanen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silver tries to avoid it but Markkanen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silver to the ground. Silver escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Markkanen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silver pinned against the cage. Silver gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Markkanen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Silver is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Markkanen tries to free his leg and advance position but Silver is retaining full guard.

Markkanen stands and throws Silver's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Silver is trying to work for a sweep but Markkanen has mounted him!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Silver really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Silver is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Silver wants to get back to his feet.

Silver tries to lock up and control but Markkanen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Markkanen controlling the pace for now.
Markkanen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silver. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Marcus Silver has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silver flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Mikko Markkanen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Markkanen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
