The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St Petersburg takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
St Petersburg shoots in and bounces Smoove Jr off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Smoove Jr is working an open guard so St Petersburg takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
St Petersburg walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Smoove Jr connects with a body shot.
Smoove Jr throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
St Petersburg closes the distance and clinches.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smoove Jr breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
St Petersburg misses with a body shot.
Smoove Jr lands with a big left! St Petersburg is wobbled badly! Smoove Jr comes in with a flurry of punches and drops St Petersburg to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
