The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caterpillar wants to clinch.
Caterpillar tries to clinch but Belfort moves out of range.

and Caterpillar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Belfort won't be happy with that.
Belfort wants to control but Caterpillar postures up.
Caterpillar is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Belfort knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Caterpillar tries to score with some ground and pound. Belfort controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Caterpillar drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Belfort has his foot on Caterpillar's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Caterpillar works his way back into a safe position though.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Belfort.

and Caterpillar makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Belfort has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Caterpillar tries to free his leg and advance position but Belfort is retaining full guard.
Belfort is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Caterpillar is controlling him.
Caterpillar throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Belfort works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Belfort is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Caterpillar throws a big right hand that misses.
Caterpillar is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Belfort is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Belfort has escaped and now he's on top!
Caterpillar isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Belfort stacks Caterpillar on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Belfort!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Caterpillar is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Belfort has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Belfort is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Caterpillar will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Caterpillar is looking for a sweep.

Irineu Caterpillar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Caterpillar swats away the attempt to clinch by Belfort.
Belfort shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Caterpillar but Caterpillar pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Caterpillar is nestled in close to Belfort, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Irineu Caterpillar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Caterpillar has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
